Suji Kurya elected president of Udupi District Working Journalists’ Association

Senior journalist Subrahmanya G. Bhat, popularly known as Suji Kurya of Vijaya Karnataka, has been unanimously elected president of the Udupi District Working Journalists’ Association for the 2025–2028 term. Nazir Polya of Vartha Bharathi was elected general secretary, while Harish Kundar of Suvarna News will serve as treasurer.
According to Dadajiworld, the results were announced by election officer Manjunath from the Udupi District Information Department. In the contest for the state executive committee, Udayavani photojournalist Astro Mohan won with a margin of 44 votes.
Vice presidents elected unanimously include Prabhakar Acharya Chitturu, Uday Kumar Mundkur and Uday Kumar Shetty. The secretaries elected unopposed are Umesh Marpalli, Suresh Ermal, and T. Lokesh Acharya Tekka...
