Media ethics and fake news discussed at The Assam Tribune Dialogue 2025

Issues of media ethics, diversity and inclusion took centre stage at a panel discussion during The Assam Tribune Dialogue 2025 held on Saturday, November 8. The session featured author and journalist Samrat Choudhury, executive editor of The Free Press Journal Afrida Rahman Ali, and executive editor of The Assam Tribune Ramanuj Dutta Choudhury, and was moderated by senior journalist and EastMojoEditor-in-Chief Karma Paljor, The Assam Tribute reported.
The speakers discussed the growing importance of ethical journalism, factual reporting and balanced representation. They highlighted the need for media outlets to remain unbiased and objective, while ensuring credible and responsible storytelling.
