Veteran journo Parnell to step away from journalism

After three and a half years at the editorial helm of Nine's Brisbane Times, Editor Sean Parnell is preparing to say goodbye to the news outlet and hello to taking on a new challenge and opportunity outside journalism.
Announcing the move on LinkedIn, Parnell said, “This newsroom has changed almost as much as Brisbane in that time. We’ve established new roles, experimented with different forms of story-telling, welcomed new staff, said goodbye to others, celebrated births and parenthood, mourned the death of a colleague, and strived to cover as much as we can of the vibrant, layered and beautiful city we call home.
