ABC Top Stories still at top of podcasting chart
By Tony Bosworth in Media News on Thursday, 17th April 2025 at 1:31pmThe ABC’s News Top Stories remained the most listened to Australian podcast in the country during March and means the national broadcaster has been at the top of the Australian Podcast Ranker numbers for four months.
March did see the return of Hamish and Andy in second place and their podcast leapt 11 places in the charts, as recorded by Triton Digital.
Other well known podcasts from Mamamia and Shameless have dropped to third and fourth, respectively, while ABC News Daily, a less frequent news podcast from the national broadcaster, has moved up from nine to seven.
In the top 20, News Corp’s crime podcast Bronwyn moved from number 22 to 11, Squiz Media’s Squiz Today jumped from 29 to 14, and Listnr’s Dan Does Footy, hosted by Dan Gorringe, moved up a massive 49 places, ...
