Kerala HC seeks Centre’s reply on Reporter TV licence misuse plea

The court has asked the Centre, through the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, to respond to the allegations and clarify whether any action has been taken against the channel. The matter will be heard again after the government files its reply.
Reporter TV, a 24-hour Malayalam news channel based in Kochi, has been on air since 2012 and is known for its political and investigative coverage. The petition claims that the channel violated conditions attached to its broadcasting licence, though specific details of the alleged misuse were not disclosed in open court.
