The Kerala High Court has issued a notice to the Union government on a petition alleging misuse of a broadcasting licence by Malayalam news channel Reporter TV, Supreme Today reported. The court has asked the Centre, through the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, to respond to the allegations and clarify whether any action has been taken against the channel. The matter will be heard again after the government files its reply. Desk journalists across Telangana intensified their agitation on Monday, asserting that their struggle will continue until the government issues accreditation cards to all eligible desk journalists. The protest was organised under the banner of the Desk Journalists Federation of Telangana (DJFT), with a large number of journalists staging a dharna in front of the I&PR Commissioner’s office at Masab Tank in Hyderabad, Telangana Today reported.
