Belinda King returns to LAFM Breakfast in Launceston
By Abdul Nishad in Media News on Thursday, 10th April 2025 at 2:00pmBelinda King is set to return to LAFM/7SD as the new breakfast host in Launceston from Monday, 14 April, according to Radio Info.
Known to listeners as BJ, she brings more than 13 years of breakfast radio experience from ABC Northern Tasmania, where she also hosted Drive before stepping away from the mic.
A Launceston local for 25 years, BJ has previously worked across Canberra, Victoria and Albury and is no stranger to the station, having worked with LAFM before it joined ARN.
She replaces Richard Perno, who left in February for interstate opportunities. Perno had a 17.2 per cent share in the 10+ audience in the October 2024 Xtra Insights survey, trailing behind Chilli FM’s 34.2 per cent.
BJ’s return marks a familiar and seasoned voice back on Launceston’s airwaves.
