NIA issues notices to Hyderabad journalists, cameraman
By Staff Writer in Media News on Tuesday, 21st April 2026 at 7:50pmThe National Investigation Agency (NIA) has issued separate notices to four media professionals, including three electronic journalists and a cameraman, directing them to appear as witnesses in connection with a case registered in November 2025.
According to Deccan Chronicle, the individuals have been asked to present themselves at the agency’s Madhapur office on April 22 at 10 am for examination.
The case was registered on November 26, 2025 under Section 152 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, along with Sections 13 and 39 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act. The notices were issued under Section 160 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, read with Section 179 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
