NCW Chairperson calls for responsible reporting on women in digital age

A oneâÂÂday workshop on “Women, Media, and Technology” was jointly organised by the National Commission for Women (NCW) and the Directorate General of Information and Public Relations at the Yashwantrao Chavan Pratishthan.
Addressing the gathering, NCW Chairperson Vijaya Rahatkar stressed the need for media to approach issues related to women with sensitivity, responsibility and accuracy, noting that the press plays a key role in shaping societal attitudes.
Rahatkar highlighted that while women have made significant strides in science, technology, defence, administration and entrepreneurship, challenges persist, making responsible coverage crucial.
