It's all about Net Zero today and whether the Liberals will announce they are doing away with the aspiration by 2050 to get to a point where the country reaches the state in which the greenhouse gases going into the atmosphere are balanced by removal out of the atmosphere. Typically this could be done - in theory - by switching as much as possible over to electric power which in turn is produced by non-fossil fuels. Oh, and growing more carbon-sucking trees. Coalition partners the Nationals have already dumped any aims along those lines, at least by a set date, and the Liberals are split.   With the aim of educating journalists and equipping them with life-saving skills, Manipal Hospital EM Bypass, Kolkata, conducted a CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) training session for members of the Mizoram Journalists’ Association (MJA) in Aizawl. The session was organised under the hospital’s outreach initiative, “Anveshana – Medical Education for Media”, IndiaTodayNE reported. During the event, held at Hotel Regency, participating journalists were given a step-by-step demonstration of CPR procedures by doctors, who explained how timely intervention within 18 minutes can significantly improve the chances of survival during cardiac arrest. Journalists were awarded CPR Training Certificates and Health Cards from Manipal Hospital EM Bypass. The health cards will enable them to access various healthcare services at Manipal facilities across the country.  

November 11, 2025, marked the 30th death anniversary of N.K. Sanajaoba, one of Manipur’s most fearless journalists, writers, and thinkers. Known widely by his pen name Thengra, Sanajaoba’s investigative writings in Lamyanba Journal gave a new direction to Manipuri journalism and inspired generations to speak truth to power. Born on December 30, 1936, in Singjamei Wagam Kshetri Leikai, Imphal, Sanajaoba was a man of many talents — a journalist, teacher, broadcaster, scout leader, trade unionist, and cultural activist. He began his education at Khongman LP School and graduated from DM College, where he served as the magazine secretary and displayed an early passion for writing and public life. Sanajaoba founded the monthly journal Lamyanba and became its first editor under the Pan Manipuri Youth League (PMYL).         TV Today Network reported a consolidated net loss of Rs 1.98 crore for the September quarter, mainly due to exceptional costs, Best Media Info reported. The company had posted a net profit of Rs 8.27 crore during the same period last year. Before accounting for these one-time expenses, the company’s profit stood at Rs 5.26 crore. In February 2025, TV Today Network had signed an agreement with Creative Channel to sell its three FM radio stations in Mumbai, Delhi, and Kolkata for Rs 20 crore and received an advance of Rs 10 crore. However, when the deal was cancelled, the network retained the advance but recorded a loss of Rs 17.61 crore on its radio assets, resulting in Rs 7.61 crore being shown as exceptional items for the quarter.
