Parties on both sides of the political spectrum exuded confidence in emerging triumphant in the elections, reported The Hindu bureau.
Even before counting began, the Congress camp in Haryana witnessed an all-too-familiar tussle over the Chief Minister's post with former CM Bhupinder Singh Hooda stating he was "neither tired nor retired" and his rival asserting that the final call would be taken by the High Command. Exit polls revealed that the Congress alliance had an edge over rivals in both states.
