Samantha Armytage departs Channel 7 after two decades

Samantha Armytage, a renowned journalist and presenter, has announced her departure from Channel 7 after a distinguished 21-year career. Her contract with the network expires in October, and she has chosen not to renew it.
“It’s a little sad and it’s bittersweet, but the time has come. I leave with lots of goodwill in my heart and excitement about the future,” Armytage told News Corp. She emphasised her decision was based on a desire to feel fulfilled and to pursue new opportunities. “This is not the end. It’s just the end of this chapter.”
