The Agartala Press Club has come forward to extend financial aid of Rs 50,000 to ailing tribal journalist Manish Debbarma. The assistance will help Debbarma undergo hand surgery. Speaking to Influencing, Chitra Roy, Vice President of the Agartala Press Club, said, "It was the least we could do in helping a member of our fraternity." She further said that several people had come forward to offer support.
