Press freedom groups question device seizures in Ravi Nair FIR case

Gujarat Police searched the Delhi residence of independent journalist Ravi Nair on Monday, August 17, in connection with an FIR filed in Ahmedabad over his reporting and social media posts on the Adani Group. Nair was not home when the search was conducted; Delhi Police personnel accompanied the Gujarat team.
According to a colleague of Nair's who was present at the residence with his son, police seized three laptops, two phones and an iPad. It was also reported that some of the devices belonged to her and to Nair's son, neither of whom is named as an accused in the case.
A senior Gujarat Police official said the devices were seized as part of the investigation, citing an August 11 Gujarat High Court order and a warrant issued by an Ahmedabad magistrate's court, The Indian Express ...
