The Northeast is under siege—not by insurgents or political unrest, but by nature itself. Relentless rain, flash floods and landslides have crippled the region, with 36 reported deaths and over 5.5 lakh people affected across Assam, Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Tripura, and Manipur.
