Nine TV broadcaster and journalist Bianca Wylie - currently covering news for the network in Adelaide - says passion and persistence are key when trying to get a job in her profession.
"It's not about the glamour or the money. It's about passion, hard work, and truth. Those are the foundations of this career."
Having faced multiple redundancies when she first started in the industry, Wylie says she learned early on that success in journalism requires more than just a university degree, and emphasised the crucial role of networking and internships in landing that first job.
