Initial reports emerging from the police on the Bengaluru stampede that cost 11 lives reveal the first intimation of a victory celebration came to the police at 6 pm on June 3 even before the match took place when RCB CEO allegedly asked for a victory celebration event at the Chinnaswamy Stidum and was denied the same. If permission was not granted, then how were they allowed to go ahead with the celebration?

A meeting of senior police officials concluded that the event should not be permitted, citing inadequate notice, unpreparedness for crowd control, and public inconvenience, the FIR said. Despite the advisory, the organisers allegedly went ahead with the event, reported Arun Dev for Hindustan Times....
