Cybersecurity consultancy business Cordant, in partnership with Karissa Breen’s KBI.FM, has launched its new podcast, DevSec Oops.  Cordant's Principal Security Consultant and co-host of DevSec Oops, Scott Fletcher, told Influencing Tech the idea came about during discussions around a company rebrand.  “We [Cordant] identified 6 to 8 months ago that we don't spend enough time explaining to the industry, the market, and advertising ourselves. “We thought a podcast was a great next step because one of the things we will realise we had in common was we all listen to podcasts as well.” KBI.FM and Cordant launched the DevSec Oops podcast last week. A new report by Excellent Publicity reveals key shifts in the jewellery sector’s advertising strategy, with print media maintaining dominance while digital sees significant growth. The report which Influencing India accessed, was based on an analysis of over 1,50,000 media campaigns and data from TAM Media Research Pvt Ltd, the report highlights how jewellery brands are diversifying their ad spend across platforms to reach a wider audience. Television remains a crucial medium, with General Entertainment Channels (GECs) accounting for 45 per cent of total ad expenditure, followed by News (36 per cent) and Sports (9 per cent) channels. Kyle Sandilands, host of KIIS FM's The Kyle and Jackie O Show, shocked listeners by revealing on air that he has been diagnosed with a brain aneurysm requiring immediate surgery. Philip Brady announced his retirement on air during his Remember When show on Sunday night bringing a closure to a remarkable seven-decade career in radio and television. “I’ve been at 3AW since time began, but it’s time to move on and give the younger guys a go,” Brady said in a pre-recorded message. Reflecting on his career, he added, “After 67 years in the business, I’m quitting, and I’m very sad to be leaving.” Brady’s career began in 1958 at GTV9, where he became a popular star on the variety show In Melbourne Tonight and hosted various game shows in the ’60s. He joined 3AW in 1971, worked at several other stations over the years, and returned to 3AW in 1990 to co-host Remember When and later the weeknight show Nightline.
