Police have filed an FIR against the chopper company for allegedly not following rules on checking weather conditions before plying a helicopter in the valley, reported Ishita Mishra for The Hindu. However, newsrooms remain cautious, ensuring transparency in AI usage while preserving editorial ethics. In an official notice issued on June 12, the pubcaster advised the stakeholders and public to avoid communicating with the account and to ensure proper verification of credentials before disclosing sensitive or proprietary information. “Prasar Bharati does not endorse or associate with any such deceptive activities or unauthorised agents operating in the market. Any agreement, payment and commitments made on the basis of fraudulent communication will have no obligation and legal binding on Prasar Bharati,” the advisory stated. The advisory also urged public to treat communications from Prasar Bharati as official only if they were sent from the following email addresses: contentsourcingdivision@gmail.com, ddprgflms@gmail.com and ott-content@prasarbharati.gov.in.

Ex-Gujarat CM Vijay Rupani was among the passengers killed in the disaster, while at least four confirmed deaths were reported on the campus of B J Medical College and Civil Hospital, around 3km from the end of runway from which the flight had taken off. Sources said the toll could rise as 290-odd body bags were used. Three doctors and a pregnant woman, wife of a doctor at the hospital in Meghaninagar, were killed inside the quarters and mess into which the aircraft crashed. A fourth doctor is reported missing.
