Delhi High Court quashes defamation case against Arnab Goswami

The Delhi High Court has quashed a criminal defamation complaint filed by lawyer Vikram Singh Chauhan against senior journalist Arnab Goswami and two former Times Now executives, Shrijeet Ramakant Mishra and Samir Jain, The Legal Affair reported
The case stemmed from a 2016 episode of The NewsHour, the channel’s primetime debate show, which discussed the violence at the Patiala House Court during the hearing of former JNU student leader Kanhaiya Kumar’s sedition case. Chauhan had alleged that the remarks made in the broadcast were defamatory and intended to harm his reputation.
