It argued that such executive actions violate the fundamental right to freedom of speech and expression under Article 19(1)(a) of the Constitution. Citing recent instances, the statement noted takedown orders issued to Facebook and X, affecting fact-checker Mohammed Zubair and outlets like Molitics and National Dastak.
