Vetta Kids Triumph On The Great Ocean Road
The Great Ocean Road International Marathon Festival is over after another successful year, welcoming record-breaking fields across all events with more than 5,700 total entries received across the two days.
This year Vetta Pasta were the proud sponsors of the family favourite 1.5km Vetta Pasta Kids Gallop. The ever growing and popular charity event takes its place in this action-packed weekend.
More than 520 entries flooded in for the family-friendly race as youngsters sprinted, skipped and even scored piggy-back rides over the finish line.
Otway Health was the chief beneficiary of the sponsored charity event, with Chief Executive Officer Linda West delighted to see families enjoying themselves.
"It's a real privilege to be part of this event," she said. "It's a fabulous spectacle."
Vetta Pasta also sponsored the annual Saturday Pasta evening, held at the Lorne Mantra hotel. Guest of honor and former marathon great John Farrington entertained more than 200 guests, providing marathon runners with plenty of insight and advice into running their best race.
About Vetta Pasta:
100% Australian made and owned, Vetta’s popular high fibre product range is not only better for you, but also offers that great taste and affordability consumers are constantly searching for. Unlike wholegrain pasta which offers an increase in fibre but a loss in taste, the Vetta high fibre range looks and tastes the same as a regular high quality dry pasta.
A standard serving of Vetta high fibre pasta equates to 25% for females and 20% for males of their recommended daily dietary fibre intake. Vetta products are also low-GI, another important step towards helping consumers choose a healthier option.
With an average Australian family consuming pasta twice a week and fibre a key to any healthy eating plan, Vetta’s high fibre range makes it easy to increase fibre intake without changing the taste of any family’s favourite pasta recipe.
