EZVIZ LAUNCHES NEXT GENERATION SUBSCRIPTION-FREE SMART HOME SECURITY ECOSYSTEM WITH ALWAYS-ON VIDEO AND LOCAL STORAGE
Announcement posted by EZVIZ 19 Aug 2026
World's No.1 Smart Home Camera Brand* expands Australian presence with new range across Harvey Norman and JB Hi-Fi, combining subscription-free local storage with Always-On Video and next-generation AI-powered smart home technology
Smart home security cameras, video doorbells, smart locks and smart home control screens deliver an affordable pathway into a complete smart home ecosystem

SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA - August 18, 2026 - EZVIZ, a world-leading smart home brand and the World's No. 1 Smart Home Camera Brand, has today announced its most expansive Australian range of smart home security and connected living products to date, across outdoor and indoor cameras, video doorbells, smart locks and smart home control panels. Its new camera range delivers subscription-free functionality powered by EZVIZ's Always-On Video (AOV) technology, giving consumers greater control over how they monitor, record and store activity around their homes. Each product can be experienced individually or as part of a broader whole-of-home smart ecosystem all accessed and managed through the EZVIZ App.
Available from today nationally in Harvey Norman and JB Hi-Fi, the new Australian range is led by the dual-lens HB90 Dual Kit and EP8 Ultra dual-lens video doorbell with package detection and an interactive screen that includes two-way video calling. It is complemented by the 360-degree HB8 Lite outdoor camera featuring Always-On Video, the biometric DL50FVX Smart Lock with multiple keyless entry options, the S10 Smart Video Calling Camera for indoor monitoring and family communication, and the SD7 Smart Screen, which brings compatible EZVIZ devices together through a single portable touchscreen interface.
Together, the products are designed to give Australian households an easy, scalable way to build a connected smart home security ecosystem around local storage, intelligent detection, simpler control and fewer ongoing subscription costs.
Consumers can begin with a single camera, doorbell or smart lock before adding other devices over time, with products sharing the same broader ecosystem and interface. Cameras can provide visibility around the property, the doorbell can identify visitors and deliveries, the smart lock can manage physical access, while the SD7 provides a dedicated in-home interface for viewing and controlling compatible devices.
In a market where many smart security ecosystems increasingly rely on subscription plans to access cloud storage or additional functionality, EZVIZ has specifically tailored its Australian camera offering around local storage. Outdoor battery cameras in the Australian retail channel launch range includes a 16GB microSD card at no additional cost, and also features Always-On Video (AOV) technology
Overcoming a previous challenge with battery-powered security cameras of balancing continuous awareness with battery life, EZVIZ's AOV technology maintains constant visual coverage throughout the day, allowing consumers to gain a more complete picture of what happened around their property rather than relying exclusively on short motion-triggered clips.
"We believe Australians will see there is a very different proposition behind this range. Our goal is to give consumers sophisticated technology that remains simple to use, while being transparent about how information is handled and giving consumers control over their privacy," said Jock Jones, Australian Country Manager for EZVIZ.
"Australians have enormous choice when it comes to smart home security, but often that choice comes with ongoing subscription costs and compromises around how and when a camera records. We believe consumers should be able to buy a great security product and immediately access the features that make it useful without feeling locked into a monthly bill, while introducing technologies such as Always-On Video that challenge what consumers should expect from battery-powered home security."
Founded in 2013, EZVIZ has grown into one of the world's leading smart home security and AIoT (Artificial Intelligence of Things) companies, available in more than 130 countries, supporting more than 230 million registered users, and connecting more than 360 million smart devices globally. Employing more than 4,500 people globally, it commits more than 14% of annual revenue to R&D, significantly higher than the industry average.
The company has built its reputation around making sophisticated technology simple to install, intuitive to use and accessible to everyday households, and its Australian range delivers core product features without ongoing subscription fees. It has also been recognised as the World's No. 1 Smart Home Camera Brand, based on total 2025 shipments per IDC's Quarterly Smart Home Device Tracker.
Equally important is EZVIZ's commitment to privacy and cybersecurity. Security sits at the core of the company's global strategy, supported through its dedicated EZVIZ Trust Centre, privacy-by-design product development, internationally recognised security certifications and transparent data protection practices designed to give consumers confidence when bringing EZVIZ connected technology into their homes. Its security framework incorporates technologies including AES and TLS encryption protocols, authentication controls, encrypted storage and security systems designed to protect devices, accounts and data.
Privacy controls available across compatible products include features such as privacy zones, physical camera shutters and additional authentication and permissions, allowing consumers to determine when and how connected devices operate.
THE NEW EZVIZ AUSTRALIAN RANGE AT A GLANCE
EZVIZ HB90 Dual 3K Security Camera with Solar Panel
Sitting at the forefront of the outdoor range is the EZVIZ HB90 Dual Kit, a dual-lens, outdoor security camera available in both battery and solar-powered, designed to deliver broader and more intelligent coverage without the installation limitations traditionally associated with continuous outdoor monitoring.
Unlike conventional dual-lens products where the wide-angle upper lens remains fixed, the HB90 combines two independently rotating lenses, allowing both cameras to reposition and work together to monitor a substantially larger area. Its dual-lens system delivers 3K resolution, while AI-powered human and vehicle detection can identify relevant activity and trigger automatic tracking, with the second camera able to follow movement for a closer view. The camera also features full-colour night vision, two-way talk, active defence through an integrated siren and strobe light, Wi-Fi 6 connectivity and weather-resistant construction for year-round outdoor use.
The HB90 incorporates EZVIZ Always-On Video technology, bringing continuous visual awareness to a battery-powered camera without requiring a permanent electrical connection. AOV intelligently balances monitoring and power consumption, capturing activity 24/7 before switching to normal-speed recording once relevant movement is detected. Local microSD storage is supported with a 16GB microSD card as standard, meaning no subscription is needed.
EZVIZ EP8 Ultra Interactive Video Doorbell
The EZVIZ EP8 Ultra pushes the conventional video doorbell into new territory by combining dual cameras, intelligent package monitoring and an integrated interactive display.
Its main 3K camera provides a highly detailed view of visitors approaching the door, while a second 1080p downward-facing camera monitors the doorstep and package area, reducing one of the most common blind spots in conventional video doorbells. Together, the lenses provide simultaneous people and parcel visibility, while AI-powered human detection, package detection and familiar-face recognition help users understand not simply that movement has occurred, but what is happening at the entrance. It also includes package-removal detection, allowing consumers to be notified when a delivered parcel is subsequently taken away.
The EP8 Ultra also incorporates a built-in AI interactive screen, allowing a more engaging two-way experience directly at the front door where visitors can video call with the person on the other side, unlike other smart doorbells. In addition, it supports colour night vision, True WDR, distortion correction, configurable privacy zones and an AI voice changer that can disguise the speaker's natural voice when communicating with an unfamiliar visitor.
Built-in storage provides substantial recording capacity without requiring a cloud subscription, while integration with Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa further means the EP8 Ultra is a complete front-door security and communication platform.
EZVIZ HB8 Lite Security Camera with Solar Panel
The EZVIZ HB8 Lite brings many technologies normally associated with more complex outdoor systems into a compact battery-powered pan-and-tilt camera.
It delivers 3K resolution and provides a 360-degree panoramic field of view with AI-powered human and vehicle shape detection while Smart Tracking monitors and follows activity. Full-colour night vision, two-way talk and Always-On Video Mode 2.0 provide reliable, all-day monitoring, while its weatherproof design, integrated siren and strobe light provide added outdoor security.
The HB8 Lite supports up to 512GB of microSD storage and includes a 16GB card.
EZVIZ S10 Indoor Smart Video Calling Camera
The EZVIZ S10 Smart Video Calling Camera extends the connected security ecosystem inside the home, combining a 2K+ indoor security camera, video calling device, digital photo frame and Bluetooth speaker. Its integrated four-inch touchscreen and dedicated call button make video communication accessible for the whole family ranging from children contacting parents to families keeping in touch with older relatives.
The camera provides a 360-degree panoramic view, Smart Tracking and AI-powered human and pet detection, allowing it to automatically follow movement across a room rather than relying on a fixed viewing area. It also includes baby-crying detection, while IR night vision provides visibility at distances of up to 10 metres after dark. A physical privacy shutter allows users to visibly block the camera when monitoring isn't required. Local microSD storage is supported alongside compatibility with Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa.
EZVIZ DL50FVX Smart Lock
The EZVIZ DL50FVX Smart Lock brings physical home access, biometric authentication, video security and connected communication together in one front-door system. It supports multiple entry methods including 3D facial recognition, palm recognition, fingerprint access, passcodes, Bluetooth keys, temporary codes, remote unlocking and mechanical-key backup.
AI-powered facial recognition and anti-spoofing technology help keep access secure, while biometric data is processed and stored locally. A built-in camera and four-inch colour display allow users to see and communicate with visitors at the door, with additional features including IR night vision, human-presence sensing and remote status checking via the EZVIZ App.
EZVIZ Smart Home Control Screen (SD7)
Bringing the wider system together is the EZVIZ Smart Home Control Screen (SD7), a portable home control centre designed to simplify management of multiple connected security products without relying solely on a smartphone.
Its 7-inch IPS touchscreen provides live viewing and playback from compatible EZVIZ cameras and security products, while consolidating device status and controls onto a single dashboard. Consumers can view camera feeds, communicate with visitors through supported doorbells and manage compatible smart entry products from one location. It integrates with the EZVIZ App for additional control and supports two-way talk.
The new EZVIZ smart home security range is available through Harvey Norman and JB Hi-Fi.
