With strong early ticket sales for the recently announced Western Australian leg of her new production, ARIA Award winner Karise Eden has announced four Victorian performances of Tell Mama! - Janis Joplin by Karise Eden this October.
The Victorian dates follow two sold-out Melbourne premiere performances that introduced audiences to a production unlike a traditional tribute show. Blending candid storytelling with powerhouse live performance, Tell Mama! explores Janis Joplin's enduring influence through Karise's own remarkable musical journey.
Beginning with an intimate acoustic set inspired by Janis's early folk-blues recordings, the first act weaves Karise's personal reflections with the story of Joplin's artistic evolution before building into a high-energy concert featuring Karise's stellar band and a three-piece brass section, celebrating one of rock's most extraordinary catalogues.
Audiences can expect timeless classics including Piece of My Heart, Cry Baby, Move Over, Try (Just a Little Bit Harder) and Me and Bobby McGee, alongside Karise's own original song, Tomorrow, inspired by Janis's Kozmic Blues.
