Local Entertainer Celebrates 26 Years Of Professional Performance Ahead Of World Juggling Day

For more than 26 years, James Bustar has made a living doing something most people consider impossible, juggling.

Throughout his career he has performed across Australia and internationally, appearing on cruise ships, at agricultural shows, festivals, corporate events, shopping centres and major public celebrations. Along the way he has entertained audiences ranging from intimate gatherings to crowds of thousands.

While juggling is often viewed as a circus skill, James believes the real value lies in what it teaches people.

"Juggling teaches persistence," he said.

"You spend a lot of time dropping things before you get any good at it. That's probably one of the most valuable lessons anyone can learn."

Known for combining comedy, audience interaction and high-level skill, James has built a career creating moments of connection between people through live entertainment.

"People often ask what the secret is after 26 years," he said.

"The truth is I've probably dropped more objects than most people have ever thrown. The difference is I kept picking them up and trying again."

"Everyone starts somewhere. Nobody picks up three balls and gets it right immediately. The fun is in the process."
