BRISBANE, QLD, 6 May 2026: Mobile paint and sip company Paint Juicy has handed Beagle Rescue Queensland $2,000 from a sold-out Brisbane charity night, fully funding the rescue's Seniors Program for the next 12 months. The donation will cover food, parasite treatments and yearly vaccinations for senior beagles who, due to age or health issues, cannot be rehomed.
The fundraiser, held on Friday 24 April 2026 at Everton Park Bowls and Community Club, was an unusual one: rather than waiting for the cause to come to the entertainment, Paint Juicy approached Beagle Rescue Queensland and asked to run them a night. The reason was personal. Co-owner Trent and his partner James have two beagles at home, Penelope and Bert. Bert came to the family through Beagle Rescue Queensland as an older gent, fully blind and carrying a long list of chronic health issues.
Guests painted a pre-sketched beagle canvas under the guidance of three Paint Juicy hosts, with live 80s and 90s singalongs led by singer Lotti Rem and trivia woven through the three-hour session. Tickets were $59, of which $30 from each went straight to the rescue. The remaining ticket revenue covered artists, materials, venue logistics and the night's running costs, with Paint Juicy waiving its usual margin.
The full $2,000 was transferred to Beagle Rescue Queensland on the night of the event and will fund the rescue's Seniors Program, a year-old initiative that cares for older beagles who cannot find a forever home because of age or chronic health issues. The donation covers the entire program's basic care needs for the next 12 months.
Paint Juicy is a 100 per cent mobile paint and sip business operating across Queensland, New South Wales and the Northern Territory. The company has hosted more than 42,000 guests, holds a 4.8-star rating on Google, and has been recognised as a Best of Queensland Experience winner every year since 2022.
Quotes from the night
I'm the animal-mad one in our house. Penelope was our first beagle, and a few years later Bert came home from Beagle Rescue Queensland as an older fellow, fully blind and with a long list of health issues we knew we were signing up for. The team at BRQ treated us like family from the very first phone call, so when we sat down to plan a charity night this year, there was only ever one rescue we were going to ring. Brisbane showed up, painted their hearts out, and $2,000 is now sitting where it should be. We will absolutely be doing it again.
Trent, Co-Owner, Paint Juicy
Charity nights are the easiest format we run, and the most rewarding. Nobody has to sit through a guilt-trip speech or an awkward auction. Guests rock up, paint a beagle, sing their lungs out, and the donation is built into every single ticket. The room raises real money without ever feeling like a fundraiser. That is why we want every cause we care about to know this format is available to them.
James, Owner, Paint Juicy
In rescue we say you have to give a bit of your heart so as to make theirs whole again. The money raised from the Paint Juicy event is humbling. It means our Seniors Program for those old beagles who cannot be rehomed due to age or health issues will continue to grow in strength. The money covers their basic care costs for the next 12 months. We will not have to worry about buying their food, parasite treatments or their yearly vaccinations. It is now covered. Paint Juicy's philanthropic gesture has made a difference.
