How to make your business thrive

Announcement posted by MultiConnexions 25 Feb 2022

How do businesses adapt in response to the challenges posed by Covid-19? Hear from Sheba Nandkeolyar & Esha Oberoi - 2 highly successful women, who migrated to Australia & established their own thriving businesses.

Celebrate International Women’s day, as you listen to how these 2 women CEOs overcame obstacles to establish multi-award winning businesses with clients all over NSW, Australia & the world.

The online Forum is organised by Lawyers with Solutions as an approved collaboration with NSW Government Small Business Month #RebuildRechargeandRenew, and during NSW Women’s week.

It will be held on Monday, 7 March, from 5.30pm to 7pm.

The forum will share information on how to start a business, and how to #breakthebias and thrive in challenging circumstances.

Speakers at the event include:

- Dr Fiona Martin MP, Federal Member for Reid, and Chair of the Select Committee on Mental Health & Suicide Prevention
- Sheba Nandkeolyar CEO of MultiConnexions, a leading & independent 360 integrated Digital, Marketing, Advertising, Media & PR & agency.
- Esha Oberoi, CEO of Afea, named as one of Australia’s fastest growing companies by the Australian Financial Review in 2021.

Event convenor and well-known lawyer and advocate, and Founder of Innate Power of Women, Pallavi Sinha will moderate the panel.

“As part of celebrating International Women’s Day, we are excited that inspiring women business leaders will share their success stories and challenges, and how they overcame barriers to #breakthebias” said Ms Sinha.

“This is the third event supported by Innate Power of Women. Small businesses have been impacted by Covid-19. For example, almost half (47%) of all businesses are experiencing supply chain disruptions.” she said.

One of the speakers, Ms Oberoi, experienced crippling mental health challenges and struggled to find purpose for years, until she began work as a carer in 2007. The experience inspired her to launch Afea, which now supports more than 1,000 families every week.

“The past two years have been incredibly challenging for women in NSW, especially small business owners,” NSW Minister for Women Bronnie Taylor said.

“NSW Women’s Week is an important time to recognise and celebrate the diversity of women and girls in communities across our State.”

Federal Member for Reid, and Chair of the Select Committee on Mental Health and Suicide Prevention, Dr Fiona Martin MP said “These recent times have created mental health challenges while also demonstrating the extraordinary resilience of our community, especially our small business community. International Women’s Day is a time to celebrate the achievements of women across all fields of endeavour and reflect on the obstacles they have overcome.”

“I truly believe that the most successful business leaders navigating the challenges of COVID-19 will do so through flexibility, focus and fight. By this I mean, the flexibility to adapt your business, your ways of working and mindset, the focus to keep your eye on the end game, and the fight to keep on going even when things look tough.” said Ms Nandkeolyar, CEO of MultiConnexions Group.

Proceeds from the event will be donated to the Harman Foundation Her House (which provides accommodation to women & their children escaping domestic and family violence).
