Triple M acquires 4TOFM and KOFM

Triple M logoTownsville radio station 4TOFM and KOFM in Newcastle have joined the Triple M Network.

Both stations will continue their daily programming, but the 4pm-6pm weekday block will have syndicated show Kennedy Molloy with Mick Molloy and Jane Kennedy plus Triple M’s NRL broadcast is on-air every Thursdays to Sundays during season.

“We are proud and passionate about the communities we are part of and the local content we deliver. We’re excited to bring one of the country’s most iconic media brands, Triple M to Newcastle and Townsville,” said SCA head of content for regional radio Mickey Maher.

Triple M parent firm Southern Cross Austereo announced that 4TOFM will go on-air as Triple M Townsville on September 3, 2018.

KOFM starts operation as Triple M Newcastle on November 9.
