TRAI unveils updated standards for Quality of Service for Access and Broadband Services
By Staff Writer in Media News on Monday, 05th August 2024 at 6:41pmThe Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has announced the release of its revised regulations titled “The Standards of Quality of Service for Access (Wireline and Wireless) and Broadband (Wireline and Wireless) Service Regulations, 2024 (06 of 2024).”
These updated regulations will apply to both Access (Fixed and Mobile) and Broadband services.
The full text of the new regulations is available on TRAI’s official website at www.trai.gov.in.
Previously, TRAI had established three distinct regulations for Quality of Service (QoS): (i) The Standards of Quality of Service for Basic Telephone Service (Wireline) and Cellular Mobile Telephone Service Regulations, 2009, (ii) Quality of Service of Broadband Service Regulations, 2006, and (iii) The Standards of Quality of Servi...
