Rural Journalists Association demands inclusion in state committees, formation of Rural Journalists Commission

The Rural Journalists Association, Uttar Pradesh, has urged the state government to ensure greater representation and address the issues faced by journalists working in rural areas. In a memorandum submitted to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath through Varanasi Divisional Commissioner S. Rajalingam, the association demanded the inclusion of two of its representatives in both the State Journalist Accreditation Committee and the Advertisement Accreditation Committee, Amar Ujala reported.
The association also called for the formation of a Rural Journalists Commission to study and resolve challenges faced by rural journalists in news gathering and reporting.
