RED FM brekky duo to head east
By Jonas Lopez in Media News on Friday, 11th October 2019 at 3:41pm
Robbie Klitzing and Alana McLean are stepping down from the RED FM breakfast show to move to Melbourne.
The tandem revealed that Klitzing is going ahead to take up a content assistant post at GOLD 104.3. McLean is finishing up her work as WA Racing Ambassador next month and will follow him shortly afterwards. They have been on the show for almost three years.
There is also another reason for the move: they got engaged last week.
“It’s so funny how things work out. We were first introduced by Fox FM ACD, James Speed, who we had both worked with, and the chemistry was there straight away! Our boss Dan Cole at RED FM agreed to pair us together… little did he know what was to come,” said Klitzing.

The Kerala Union of Working Journalists (KUWJ) and the Press Club of India (PCI) have condemned the Kerala Police action at the Reporter TV newsroom in Kochi, calling it interference in journalists' work and a violation of press freedom.
According to the KUWJ, a team of police officers entered the newsroom at around 5 am on September 16 and remained for nearly one-and-a-half hours. The union said the police created an atmosphere of fear, forcibly took journalists' personal mobile phones, and disrupted the newsroom's functioning. It said the News Editor was forcibly removed from his desk while on live duty, disrupting the channel's live broadcast and questioned the need for police action inside a newsroom, seeking an explanation from the Chief Minister and the Home Department.
The union described the incident as an act of police high-handedness that should have no place in a democratic setup, and compared it to the police action against NewsClick, where equipment was seized and t
