Pristel preps Seven exit

In a staff meeting early this week, Pristel said he will exit at the end of the year to establish a new communications company. He will use the interim period to do transition work with network director of news and public affairs Craig McPherson and station MD Lewis Martin.
Pristel had been in the post since July 2012, when he came aboard after 23 years with the Herald Sun.
“Simon is a highly regarded newsman across the complex news gathering landscape. No one knows Melbourne, and what makes Melbourne tick, better than Simon. This knowledge and his passion for news are what sets him apart from the rest. He leaves Seven Melbourne with our respect and deep appreciation for a job well done,” said Martin.
