Amar Ujala has launched its Amar Ujala FAST (Free Ad-Supported Streaming Television) Channel across several Connected TV (CTV) and FAST platforms, expanding access to its Hindi news and infotainment programming. The channel is available on TCL TV, JioTV, JioTV+, Swift TV, Neo TV and YouTube Live, extending the reach of its Hindi news and infotainment content. According to MediaNews4U, the launch is part of the company's digital transformation strategy and aims to strengthen its presence in the fast-growing streaming space. By entering the FAST and CTV ecosystem, Amar Ujala seeks to make its content more accessible to viewers using internet-enabled television services. The expansion comes as Connected TV (CTV) usage continues to rise in India, driven by smart TV adoption, affordable broadband and changing consumer preferences.

Journalist and multimedia producer Sumit Singh has joined Bhaskar English, English-language publication from the Dainik Bhaskar Group, as chief sub-editor. A journalist from Bathinda, Rattandeep Singh Dhaliwal, has approached the Punjab and Haryana High Court after several police complaints were filed against him by Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLAs. Rattandeep has so far received police summons in connection with 16 complaints filed by the MLAs and is expecting more in the coming days.  “I am certain that at least 22 AAP MLAs  have filed police complaints against me but have no clue on what allegations have been made by them,” he told Influencing.  During a recent podcast, Dhaliwal had claimed that approximately 32 sitting MLAs may not receive party tickets for Punjab's upcoming Assembly elections.
