With the campaign for 2024 Lok Sabha elections reaching a crescendo, the threat of AI-generated misinformation looms large raising concerns about fake news impacting the democratic process.
In the backdrop of Microsoft's recent warning about China's alleged intentions to interfere with Indian elections using ai-generated content, the issue has become a topic of national importance with Indian government considering new AI regulations under the upcoming Digital India Bill to modernise the Information Technology Act 2000.
