Asianet News Digital partners with ONDC for Maha Kumbh coverage

Asianet News Digital has partnered with the Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC) to provide coverage of the Maha Kumbh and facilitate the delivery of Prasad and Gangajal through ONDC’s platform.
The partnership was announced on Asianet News Digital’s social media channels.
As part of this collaboration, AsianetNews.com will offer real-time updates on Maha Kumbh rituals and discussions with spiritual leaders, scholars and devotees. A live banner on AsianetNews.com will direct users to ONDC’s network for easy access to services related to the event.
Tapan Sharma, chief operating officer at Asianxt Digital, acknowledged Shireesh Joshi and Namrata Singh for their role in enabling the partnership.

Journalists demand crackdown on illegal networks in Tripura

Alarmed by rising illegal activities along border areas, a delegation of journalists submitted a memorandum to the district Superintendent of Police, urging strict action against trafficking networks.
The memorandum flagged an increase in drug trafficking, cannabis trade, gambling, illicit liquor, cigarette smuggling, and cattle trafficking, warning that easy access to narcotics is harming youth and undermining law and order.

The deceased, Deepu, a student of Christ Nagar College, reportedly stepped in front of the Kochuveli–Nagercoil passenger train around 7.30 am. Police suspect he had been under stress after missing an exam last month and have begun further investigation, Keralakaumudi reported.

The brutal murder of 30-year-old vernacular newspaper journalist Jaganmohan Reddy on Tuesday morning has sent shockwaves through the media fraternity, sparking widespread protests and intensifying calls for a national law to protect journalists.
