PR officer needed for Australian Army
The Defence Department is hiring a public relations officer for the Australian Army, to be based in Melbourne.
The PR officer will manage a team of PR practitioners who will manage the Army’s branding and reputation development efforts through press releases, videos, and social media content. They will also talk with the Army’s senior command staff on building new communication strategies, media relations, and issues management. The work may require assignment to Defence Force HQ in Canberra or attached with units on deployment.
The job will be open exclusively to Australian citizens who graduated with PR, Corporate Communications, or Journalism degrees with at least three years’ experience. They must pass the standard ADF physical fitness test and undergo background checks.
